Wired glass is provided with an insert of a steel wire mesh welded at all intersection points. If the glass breaks, the wire mesh binds the resulting shards. This minimizes the risk of injury. The broken wired glass also has a certain residual load-bearing strength.
The trend towards ornamental glass with very modern structures is unmistakable, especially our collection of high-quality Italian Madras decorative glass. The deeply etched glasses with relief-like patterns finely engraved into the surface are available in many visually appealing designs and in different colors.
When you look at mussel glass with its Wilhelminian and Art Nouveau motifs, you are inevitably reminded of the atmosphere of your great-grandmother's time. This is why it is mainly used in restoration: in the entrance areas of middle-class houses, in staircases, doors and partition walls, in skylights, windows and in antique furniture.
